Stopped in at my favorite Henry’s Camera Store located at Kennedy Commons in Scarborough (Toronto,Ontario,Canada). I bit the bullet and bought a Nikkor AF 50mm f 1.8 D. While this lens isn’t the high end of the prime 50’s available in the Nikkor lineup…I just couldn’t resist the value at under $150 (CDN). This will make a very nice addition for when I start my portrait sessions 🙂
Some test shots will be posted soon 🙂
This being something that I’ve been complaining about for a very long time…my card reader. Since day one, I’ve been using a mini card reader that I had received as a bonus when I bought my original SDHC cards. While it has served me well, attempting to import several hundred photos was nothing short of…well…painstakingly slow.
Insert my new instrument of quality…the Lexar Professional UDMA Dual Slot Card Reader. This work of art reads UDMA CF,SDHC cards and is also backwards compatible for regular CF and SD cards. Connects via USB 2.0 and just from a personal perspective….it is soooooooo much faster than my old reader. I’m very impressed!
